CVMA 25-8 Hosting 3rd Annual Ride 4 Life
CARTERSVILLE, GEORGIA – The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA), Inc., Georgia Chapter 25-8 is hosting its 3rd Annual Ride 4 Life veterans charity event on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Southern Devil Harley Davidson Motorcycle Dealership at 2281 US-411, Cartersville, GA 30121. This annual event is the organization’s major fundraiser for the year. All proceeds will go directly to Healing4Heroes and to support our local military heroes located in Georgia.
CVMA 25-8 is a 501(c)19 nonprofit organization comprised of a diverse group of combat veterans who are dedicated exclusively to helping other veterans in need. Since our inception in 2016, we have dedicated countless hours helping veterans through numerous labor projects and assistance activities. Too often, our veterans return from their combat deployments in a different physical condition or an altered emotional state of mind. Our nations heroes often suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Many have to face new challenges dealing with physical and mental issues such as missing limbs and other deformities that often result in serious depression, isolation and suicide. Our mission is to help them live a more productive life.
CVMA 25-8 has adopted Healing4Heroes as our primary charity to support. Founded in 2011, Healing4Heroes has no paid employees, operates exclusively with the help of volunteers and is funded by donations and fundraising events like our Ride4Life. Their objective is to connect wounded service members, as well as those with PTSD and TBI, with Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A) compliant service dogs. Healing4Heores has dual purposes in that it serves the community by helping military personnel and veterans as well as local animal shelters by rescuing suitable dogs. Our military personnel and veterans move forward, living more productive lives after being wounded both physically and/or mentally with the assistance of service animals. The lives of unwanted shelter dogs are saved by becoming trained service companions. All of their A.D.A. compliant service dogs are given to our veterans free of charge.
The 3rd Annual Ride 4 Life is a free event with a patriotic and military theme. It will begin at 10:00am with the National Anthem, presentation of colors by the Warrior Division US Naval Sea Cadets and the 3rd annual scenic William Boats Wallace Ride 4 Life. Help us celebrate our heroes from Georgia and around our great nation. Enjoy live music from the Double Barrel band with special guest Michael Allman from 11-4pm, walk through a huge car and bike show, enjoy a cold beverage, great food and merchandise from more than 60 vendors. Stay around for the 4pm main event, when we give away a Harley Davidson Motorcycle and five weapons.
